Best Business Schools Hiring:
Consulting Industry
The consulting industry remains a top choice for business graduates—the industry again accounted for the largest number of hires (4,126*) from the schools in our ranking. INSEAD (No. 5 in Europe) had the largest number of grads, 326, take consulting jobs. Chicago Booth (No. 2 in the US rankings) led the pack in the US, with 192 of its MBAs working in the industry. The past two years have been marked by a slowdown, driven largely by corporations cutting back on their discretionary spending. This could be a factor of higher inflation and rising rates, along with enterprises spending more of their budgets on generative AI infrastructure at the expense of areas such as consulting. Next year could see a rebound in demand, which in turn could lead to better employment opportunities. *Hiring figures refer to the number of MBAs who reported accepting a job offer within three months of graduation.
