Best Business Schools Hiring:
Nonprofits

The conventional wisdom about MBAs in the nonprofit world is that there aren't any. Some say the degree isn't useful. But the conventional wisdom often can be off-base—there are growing opportunities to take on leadership/executive-level and operations roles with nonprofit organizations. Searches for leadership positions often emphasize a desire for strong communication and fundraising skills, as well as prior experience in the field. Most of the business schools in our survey are sending very small numbers of graduates into nonprofits. A notable exception: Harvard, which had 18 graduates go to work in the industry.
