Tuck is number 6 on the overall ranking of US business schools. The Hanover-based school is known for its core curriculum for first year MBA students, focused on general management. Electives enter the mix in the second year. The program appeals to students interested in a quieter, more remote setting, rather than the urban centers many top b-school competitors find themselves in. Gradutes entering consulting, especially, command higher than the national median in salary and bonus, $190K.

Of the five indexes this ranking is based on — Compensation, Learning, Networking, Entrepreneurship and Inclusion — Dartmouth (Tuck) ranked 2nd in Networking, 7th in Compensation, 16th in Learning, 28th in Entrepreneurship and 40th in Inclusion. Index scores are based on student and alumni survey responses as well as salary data the school reports to MBA CSEA.
