For Markets, the War Might as Well Be Over

Stocks are nearly back to their all-time highs from the months before the conflict.

Economic measures are better than warfare.

It’s safe to go back in the water (unless, perhaps, we’re talking about the waters of the Strait of Hormuz). The main US indexes are now higher than they were when war broke out in Iran, and almost back to the all-time highs they set in the months before. Most have now rallied more than 10% since last week’s ceasefire.
