China Will Open Up Its Capital Account in Hong Kong, Gently

As China embarks on its 15th five-year plan, Hong Kong is carving out a supporting-actor role for itself in everything from aiding the mainland’s aerospace ambitions to taking the yuan global.

Both areas featured prominently in Hong Kong Financial Secretary Paul Chan’s annual budget speech Wednesday.
