Truce Extension Unlikely, Says Trump With Mixed Signals From Iran
Tehran gives mixed signals about possibility of attending negotiations and Trump says US delegation to travel to Pakistan
It is looking uncertain whether a breakthrough can be reached between the United States and Iran. US President Donald Trump said in a phone interview this afternoon that it is “highly unlikely” he would extend the two-week ceasefire with Iran if a deal is not reached before it is scheduled to end April 22.
Trump said that a US delegation, including Vice President JD Vance will leave for Pakistan, ready to resume talks tomorrow.
