The war in the Mideast is sending more price and supply shockwaves beyond the region and energy markets.

The latest data for Europe, released Tuesday, was among the first to cover the period since the US and Israeli attacks on Tehran began Feb. 28. Private-sector activity in the euro area rose at the slowest pace since last May, according to the Composite Purchasing Managers’ Index compiled by S&P Global.
