The war in Iran is increasingly turning into a fight over the price of oil.

Iran is hitting infrastructure in the Persian Gulf, including setting a massive gas field ablaze, as the government continues with its strategy of restricting the output of oil to pressure the US. Donald Trump, meanwhile, continues to badger other countries to help force the Strait of Hormuz open as his administration seeks to limit the impact on energy prices — and inflation.
