We’re seeing a lot of geopolitical risk and saber rattling in this first week of the Year of the Horse.

There’s the US amassing a vast array of forces in the Middle East to pressure Iran into a deal over its nuclear program, for one. Here in Asia, US and Chinese fighter jets reportedly briefly faced off above waters near the Korean Peninsula this week, marking a rare confrontation in that area between the two superpowers. Less rare is this bit of drama from US President Donald Trump, saying he’s directing federal agencies to release government documents that discuss extraterrestrial life and unexplained aerial phenomenon.
