Donald Trump doubled down on his assertion that the US “needs Greenland” for national security — just before a White House meeting between Vice President JD Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the foreign ministers of Denmark and Greenland.

Greenland is “vital” to US plans to build the “Golden Dome” missile defense shield, the president said on Truth SocialBloomberg Terminal, urging NATO to back his efforts to gain control of the Arctic territory. “Anything less than that is unacceptable,” he added.
