Hi, Top Shelfers. It’s Elin McCoy, with the latest on wine, and this month, there’s a lot.

New York City is a magnet for the world’s best producers, but last week was like a massive banquet of wine. Some 250 elite winemakers were in town for the 2025 edition of Wine Spectator magazine’s three-day New York Wine Experience. When they weren’t pouring at the event’s grand tastings and seminars, they were out and about and anxious to meet and greet. After all, the US is still the world’s No. 1 country for wine consumption.
