The third round of US-China trade talks wrapped up without clarity on the fate of the tariff truce that’s set to expire in two weeks. China’s delegation earlier said a 90-day extension had been reached, but Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said they “jumped the gun a little” and that Donald Trump will make the final call. The president, returning from Scotland after dealing the EU a harsh blow in the trade war, said India may face a tariff rate of 20% to 25%.
