US tariffs on Mexico and Canada will take effect on March 4 as planned, Donald Trump said, and there’s “no room left” for them to negotiate the 25% levies. China, facing a 20% duty, is reportedly considering retaliation on US agriculture and food products. In addition to the long-promised tariffs, the president said the US would impose duties on foreign agricultural products starting April 2.
