Former President Donald Trump is safe after his Secret Service detail opened fire at a man with an assault rifle at his Florida golf course in what the FBI is calling an apparent assassination attempt. A Secret Service agent was one hole ahead of Trump on the course when he spotted a rifle barrel poking through a fence and opened fire. The suspect, named as 58-year-old Ryan Routh, fled in a vehicle and was later arrested. The incident would mark the second attempt on the Republican presidential candidate’s life in two months after a gunman wounded Trump in the ear during a rally in Pennsylvania, on July 13.
