Why Exercise Can Affect How You Sleep

Photographer: skynesher/E+Hi, it’s Angel in London, where I’ve been looking into how best to use exercise for optimal sleep. But first...
Exercise is my least favorite thing but I do my best to show up several times a week because I know I’ll never regret a workout. Aside from boosting my mood, working out also helps me to fall asleep almost immediately. This is a good thing for someone, who like millions of people worldwide struggling with sleep, has spent years relying on melatonin and other sleep aids.
However, staying asleep all night still remains a challenge for me. Tossing and turning at 3am often makes me wonder if the workout I did in the evening is what’s keeping me up or if my tea was caffeinated.
