Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell is due to speak at the Jackson Hole symposium on Friday, with the market anticipating a hawkish lean to his comments. In remarks on Tuesday, Minneapolis Fed President Neel Kashkari emphasized that the central bank needs tighten monetary policy further to "bring things into balance." Goldman Sachs Group Inc. Chief Economist Jan Hatzius added his view to the mix, saying he believes Powell will lay out a case for slowing the pace of rate hikes. “I don’t think he will be specific about the number, but I do think he will be saying there is a risk of over-tightening,” Hatzius said.
