NASA’s Breathtaking Photos From Far Side of the Moon Evoke Wonder and Awe

The crew of Artemis II has captured images never seen before.

The crew of NASA’s Artemis II mission has already cemented its place in the history books by smashing space distance records and notching a number of spaceflight firsts on its journey around the moon.

But Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch and Jeremy Hansen can also claim another impressive title: skilled photographers. The Artemis II astronauts have been capturing breathtaking images of the Earth and the moon as they travel out to a distance of about 252,760 miles from our planet. And they’re sharing what it’s like to live and work inside the Lockheed Martin-built Orion crew capsule that’s transporting them on their journey.
