The Justice Department’s massive trove of files on Epstein is painting a vivid picture of his efforts to get close to Apollo’s three billionaire founders. It’s sparking new questions for the firm a half-decade after Leon Black handed off the reins amid scrutiny of his Epstein ties. Apollo sought to calm investors at the time by publishing an outside law firm’s report stating that 60,000 documents and staff interviews showed “no evidence” of Epstein “having any relationship with Apollo.”
