On his way to an Ultimate Fighting Championship bout in Miami in April, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. stopped off at a penthouse to see the health guru Gary Brecka. Brecka had recently purchased the $19.5 million property in Coconut Grove, one of Miami’s most sought-after neighborhoods, transforming it into a state-of-the-art personal wellness center. It already had a gym, sauna and steam room when he moved in, but Brecka has since decked it out with a cold plunge and a $120,000 red-light therapy bed, which he uses every morning before his daily breath work. Kennedy and Brecka did IV drips and sat inside a $300,000 hyperbaric chamber, which Brecka has called a “game changer for human performance, longevity and recovery,” as well as a potential therapy for people with autism. Brecka says he believes all this will help him live to 120, but he’s “probably going to try to push that to 140.”
