Oxford University Has Failed Women Over Harassment Concerns, Staff Say
The university has repeatedly been slow to act against male academics accused of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior, a Bloomberg investigation found.
The leader of the University of Oxford attended a gathering at its business school in September intended to bring a difficult few months to a close and open a new, more positive chapter.
In August, a five-month investigation by the university into Said Business School head Soumitra Dutta upheld three allegations that he harassed a female academic. Oxford’s handling of the probe had led to anxiety and anger among staff, according to at least five people with knowledge of the situation.
