Eight Eye-Catching End Tables to Add Visual Punch to Any Room
Bold shapes and clever combinations of materials are bringing a new wave of side tables into the spotlight.
“Side tables are the supporting actor role in a room,” says Josh Greene, who this year was named in Architectural Digest’s AD100 list of top designers. “They can have a lot of personality. They can be the cameo that steals the show.”
End tables are often left as part of a room’s finishing touches, but they really occupy an important position. They have to carry the lighting, for one thing, and account for essential objects like potted plants, catchalls and, you know, drink coasters. To remain perfectly within reach, they need to be the right height to fit with a sofa’s arm or the level of a bed.
