This $14,000 Driving Course Will Give You a Taste of the Track
But only if you own a Ferrari.
“Stop watching the road—look up!” Delivered in a thick Southern twang through my helmet earpiece, the urgent command sounds almost gentle against the background howl of a Ferrari V-12 engine. I press the gas and surge forward. “Your eyes should be looking up ahead, three turns from now! That’s where you want to be.”
I never thought I’d hear an instructor tell me not to watch the road, but that’s exactly what I found myself doing in the desert outside Palm Springs, Calif. I was doing 120 mph.
