Malaysia Picks a Former Judge to Lead Its Anti-Graft Agency
Malaysia named Abdul Halim Aman as the next anti-graft chief, taking over from embattled head Azam Baki when his term ends next month.
Abdul Halim will begin as chief commissioner of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission on May 13, according to a statement on Saturday from Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, chief secretary to the government. He stepped down as a High Court judge three years ago after reaching the mandatory retirement age.
