UK’s Reeves to Hold Meeting With Bankers Wednesday, Sky Reports

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves will meet executives from the largest UK banks on Wednesday as the ongoing Iran crisis weighs on Britain’s economy, Sky News reported.

Executives from Barclays Plc, HSBC Holdings Plc, Lloyds Banking Group Plc, NatWest Group Plc and Santander UK have been asked to attend the meeting with Reeves, Sky reported without saying where it obtained the information. She will likely raise at the meeting banks’ ongoing commitment to supporting customers affected by inflationary pressures arising from the crisis, according to the report.
