The Democratic Alliance, South Africa’s second-biggest party and a member of the nation’s ruling coalition, appointed strategist Ryan Coetzee to oversee its ministers who are part of President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet.

“Ryan Coetzee will start work on Monday and he will help manage the ministerial caucus,” Geordin Hill-Lewis, who was elected as DA leader last weekend, said in an interview in Saldanha, north of Cape Town on Saturday.
