Venezuela Central Bank Chief Resigns, VP Perez to Take Over

Venezuela’s central bank chief resigned, interim President Delcy Rodriguez said, days after the US eased sanctions on the bank, allowing it to reconnect with the international financial system.

Luis Perez, the bank’s vice president, will replace Laura Guerra, who handed her resignation, Rodriguez said on state TV. She also signed into law a mining bill and welcomed the International Monetary Fund’s decision to resume dealings with Venezuela.
