Russian Region Calls Up Reservists to Fight Drones at Key Sites
Russia’s Leningrad region is calling up reservists to try to protect vital infrastructure after Ukraine stepped up drone attacks on Baltic ports and refineries.
The region is home to the ports of Primorsk and Ust-Luga, which handle about 40% of Russia’s seaborne crude exports, as well as to fuel-producing plants. Drone strikes led to disruption in loadings, while Novatek’s Ust-Luga gas processing facility and Surgutneftegas’s Kirishi refinery remain halted after attacks in late March.
