HSBC’s Head of Mideast Banking Said to Leave After Year in Role

The head of HSBC Holdings Plc’s newly-created banking division in the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey has left, people familiar with the matter said, joining a wave of recent departures at the lender.

Karim Tannir is leaving for an external opportunity, according to the people, who asked not to be identified discussing private information. The departure comes just over a year after the banker was tasked with overseeing client coverage in a region spotlighted as a priority for the lender after a restructuring.
