The flow of ships through the Strait of Hormuz continued at just a trickle in the hours before Iran’s announcement that the waterway will completely open to commercial shipping during a 10-day ceasefire.

The few vessels navigating the route included a Greek-owned supertanker, Atokos, that recently exited the Persian Gulf to reach the Indian Ocean and a Pakistan-flagged tanker, Shalamar, finishing its outward journey on Friday morning.
