China’s Changan Said to Weigh Setting Up Auto Plant in Spain

Chongqing Changan Automobile Co. is considering opening a plant in Spain, according to people familiar with the matter, following other Chinese carmakers that have located production in the European nation.

The facility would likely be in northern Spain, said the people, who asked not to be named discussing private deliberations. Two of the people said the region of Aragón was under consideration. The people, who didn’t specify the scope of the planned operation, cautioned that no decision has been made.
