South Africa Arrests Benin Fugitive Connected to Coup Attempt

South African authorities arrested Kémi Séba, a French-born influencer who’s wanted by Benin in connection with an attempted coup in that country in December.

Benin issued an international warrant for the arrest of Séba after he praised the would-be mutineers on social media. Séba was arrested together with his 18-year-old son in Pretoria, the South African capital, on April 13, the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation, known as the Hawks, said in a statement on Wednesday.
