Europe’s Auto Heartland Saw Cash Flow Nearly Halve Since 2019

Europe’s auto industry has a growing cash problem, even as earnings still look steady.

A report from consultancy AlixPartners said carmakers and auto sector suppliers in Germany, Austria and Switzerland are struggling to turn revenues and earnings into cash as investment, electrification and day-to-day costs soak it up.
