UK Says Firms to Get £600 Million of Relief on Energy Bills

Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves will on Thursday confirm plans to provide £600 million ($810 million) a year in energy bill support for British manufacturers struggling against overseas competitors.

Makers of cars, planes, steel and drugs were among the 10,000 businesses expected to see their energy bills cut by as much as a quarter from next year, under the program, the Department for Business and Trade said in a statement.
