UK recruiters said the conflict in the Middle East may hurt global recruitment markets, dimming the outlook just as hiring started to pick up in some geographies.
Robert Walters Plc said that while the impact is currently limited to the Middle East region, the company is watching out for the “potential downstream macroeconomic impact in other markets should tensions be protracted.” The northern Europe business remained “challenging” in the first quarter, though there were some signs of progress in the UK, Spain and New Zealand.
