NYC Doormen Authorize Strike After Mamdani Joins Workers
New York City doormen and other staff voted to authorize a strike, inching closer to a potential walkout as soon as April 21, a move that would disrupt operations at 3,500 co-ops, condos and apartment buildings.
Negotiations between the union for the workers and an advisory board to property owners haven’t yet produced a deal on a new contract. The current labor agreement expires on April 20.
