New Zealand Building Products Prices Rise as Iran War Hits Costs

Fletcher Building, New Zealand’s biggest supplier of construction materials, is raising prices as the Middle East conflict drives up costs, and warns that demand is starting to soften.

Price increases, which include fuel-linked surcharges, have generally been small, but in some products, such as plastic piping, have been as much as 36%, the Auckland-based company said ThursdayBloomberg Terminal. Fletcher is being hit by rising diesel prices and supply chain disruptions for resins and urea, it said.
