Hungary’s incoming leader Peter Magyar called on the country’s president to resign as he headed into a meeting with the head of the state following a landslide election win that ended Viktor Orban’s 16-year rule.

“I’ll say it again: President Tamas Sulyok must leave office once a government is formed,” Magyar said on his arrival at the president’s office in the Buda Castle on Wednesday.
