Central Bank Says Petro’s Attacks Hit Confidence in Colombia

Colombia’s central bank called on the government to tone down its attacks on the institution, saying these are undermining investor confidence in the country.

Central bank Governor Leonardo Villar told lawmakers in Bogota that the administration of President Gustavo Petro is trying to “discredit” the monetary authority with its insults.
