BBC Set to Cut as Many as 2,000 Jobs as Broadcaster Trims Costs

The BBC is set to cut as many as 2,000 jobs or about 10% of its staff, highlighting the challenges the UK public broadcaster is facing to its funding model.

Interim Director General Rhodri Talfan Davies announced the necessary downsizing during a call on Wednesday with employees and a subsequent memo.
