Nine workers were killed and 15 others were injured in an explosion at a Vedanta Ltd. power plant in eastern India on Tuesday, the Press Trust of India reported.

The blast occurred in one of the boiler units and the injured workers were being treated at a nearby hospital, PTI said, citing local government authorities.
