UK Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves criticized US President Donald Trump over the damage his conflict in the Middle East has wreaked on the global economy and accused him of going to war without an exit strategy.

“I do feel very frustrated and angry that the US went into this war without a clear exit plan, without a clear idea of what they were trying to achieve. And as a result the Strait of Hormuz is now blocked,” Reeves told the Mirror newspaper in an interview on her way to Washington for the IMF-World Bank Spring meetings.
