Poste CEO Says Telecom Italia Is ‘Perfect Fit’ for Digital Hub

Poste Italiane SpA decided to buy full ownership of Telecom Italia SpA to capture all the potential benefits of working with the former phone monopoly, Chief Executive Officer Matteo Del Fante said.

A 27% investment in the ordinary shares of Telecom Italia has appreciated by €1.5 billion ($1.77 billion) in the past year, Del Fante said Tuesday in an interview with Bloomberg Television. A union will provide cost savings and revenue opportunities, along with the freedom to act quickly, he added.
