Germany Pushes for New Solar Farms to Be Equipped With Batteries

The economy ministry plans to create incentives for combined photovoltaic and storage systems in its revised Renewable Energy Act, according to Christian Schmidt, head of the institution’s power department. Europe’s largest economy is seeing more days with excess solar production, driving day-ahead power prices negative, as seen during the recent Easter holidays.
