BMW First-Quarter Car Sales Drop on Weakness in China, US
BMW AG’s first-quarter car sales declined after more struggles in China, where luxury spending is down and German manufacturers are ceding share to local brands.
Global deliveries fell 3.5% amid a 10% drop in China and a decline in the US, BMW said Tuesday. On the positive side, the luxury-car maker cited growth in Europe and more than 50,000 orders for its new electric iX3 sport utility vehicle.
