Russia Says It Wants ‘Pragmatic’ Ties With New Hungarian Leader

Photographer: Akos Stiller/BloombergThe Kremlin said it will seek dialogue with Hungary’s new leadership in its first comment on the election, which failed to mention Russia’s ousted ally Viktor Orban by name.
“Hungary has made its choice, we respect this choice, we expect that we will continue our very pragmatic contacts with the new leadership of Hungary,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters Monday. “We have heard statements, especially about a readiness to engage in dialogue; of course, this will be beneficial for both Moscow and Budapest.”
