Polish Rates Seen on Hold if Iran Fallout Capped, Janczyk Says

Poland will likely keep interest rates unchanged in coming quarters as inflation is set to stay within the central bank’s tolerance range despite pressures from the Iran war, according to policymaker Wieslaw Janczyk.

The volatile situation in the Middle East prompted Poland’s Monetary Policy Council to shift to a wait-and-see stance regarding further changes in borrowing costs after it cut the key rate to 3.75% in early March.
