Turkey Overhauls Leadership at State Lenders Halkbank, Vakifbank

Photographer: Nicole Tung/BloombergTurkey reshuffled the top ranks of two of its state-owned banks, installing new leadership at Turkiye Halk Bankasi and transferring its outgoing chief executive to Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi, according to exchange filings late Thursday.
Halkbank named Chairman Recep Suleyman Ozdil as chief executive officer, while appointing board member Meltem Taylan Aydin as chairwoman, the lender said. The changes replace Osman Arslan, who had led the bank since 2017.
