The number of visitors traveling to the Seychelles slumped 37% in March from a year ago, reflecting the impact of the Iran war and Middle East flight disruptions.

The total number of visitors to the Indian Ocean island dropped to 23,746, the lowest since March 2021 when the country’s tourism industry was on its heels due to the Covid-19 pandemic, according to data published by the National Bureau Statistics.
