Emerging-Market Stocks Set for Best Weekly Gain Since 2020 Before Iran Talks
Emerging-market stocks rallied Friday, recording their biggest weekly advance since the Covid era, as optimism grew that the fragile ceasefire in the Middle East will hold.
MSCI’s Emerging Markets Index climbed 1.2% and is now on the cusp of erasing the losses incurred since the Iran war began on Feb. 28. It rose 7.4% this week in its biggest jump since June 2020.
