Dutch regulators approved Tesla’s partially automated driving system, marketed as Full Self-Driving software, a move that could help open the door to a future approval in the European Union at large.

RDW, the organization that handles the approval and registration of vehicles in the Netherlands, announced the decision Friday, marking the first of its kind for Tesla’s FSD software in Europe. In a statement, the regulator said drivers in the Netherlands will be able to use the system immediately.
